AGRITECHNICA 2023 Novelty: SmartCONTROL USC

We are excited to present our latest innovation in agricultural technology at AGRITECHNICA 2023 in Hannover: The SmartCONTROL USC. This advanced tool, which we will unveil for the first time at AGRITECHNICA, is based on our existing SmartCONTROL system, but can now control up to 48 sections with a 12V signal thanks to the addition of I/O modules.

Each I/O module can directly control up to eight sections and deliver up to 3A per section. The SmartCONTROL USC is connected to the tractor via the ISOBUS IBBC connector and is compatible with almost any ISOBUS VT display with TC capabilities (TaskController).

SmartCONTROL USC applications

Our SmartCONTROL USC (Universal Section Control) has been developed for section switching on hoeing machines but can also be used for other implements to switch sections off (and on) at overlap and/or field boundaries. Sections can also be manually switched off on the screen or via AUX-N assignment. Visitors to AGRITECHNICA 2023 can view the benefits of this new development.

Benefits of SmartCONTROL USC

One of the main advantages of the SmartCONTROL USC is its compatibility with the ISOBUS Task Controller. This allows the SmartCONTROL USC to work with almost any ISOBUS GPS system, both after-market (Ag Leader, Trimble, Topcon, Raven) and factory GPS from AGCO, John Deere and CNH.

Simple Installation

The installation of the SmartCONTROL USC is straightforward. The system comes with an English or German manual. The main module is connected to the tractor's ISOBUS socket. The I/O section modules are connected to the CAN of the main module and to the 60A ISOBUS power supply. With a larger number of sections and related higher power consumption, the peak current can be limited by minimum time intervals between the switching moments per section.

The SmartCONTROL USC is therefore an example of how technology and innovation can increase efficiency and productivity in agriculture.
