The starting point for the Homburg SmartSOLUTIONS line
(and therefore also for the SmartSTEER implement steering) is
years ago the SmartPLOUGH plow steering.
There is now a line of SmartSOLUTIONS for various applications and for various tractor brands and (incl. Ex factory) GPS systems
SmartSTEER was initially developed on the basis of the SmartPLOUGH plow steering. The 1st generation is somewhat complicated in terms of setup, the current one, on the other hand, is very simple: connection via ISOBUS socket plus one extra plug for the RTK corrections, which eliminates the need for a 2nd RTK subscription. SmartSTEER is unique because of the headland automatic system and, like a trailed sprayer, follows the headland track. In many cases, this prevents multiple stitches on the headland and thus increases capacity, comfort and also limits compaction.
More recently, the SmartSTEER has also been made compatible with various brands of (ex-factory) GPS systems including AGCO. SmartSTEER implement control is thus integrated plug & play on e.g. the Fendt VarioGuide terminal. SmartSTEER requires no further unlocks or adjustments in the tractor and automatically uses the AB line active in the tractor. For many users this is the ideal solution.
SmartSTEER, like the other SmartSOLUTIONS such as e.g. SmartLEVEL leveling control exported worldwide. SmartLEVEL is a grading solution where existing ISOBUS screen and RTK GPS antenna can be used for grading. SmartLEVEL can set the slope in three directions (double roof profile) and is also suitable for almost all brands of GPS.
