Homburg Holland BV processes personal data of its customers, prospects and other contact persons. This privacy statement explains which data Homburg Holland BV processes when, why and in what way.

When does Homburg Holland BV collect (personal) data? 
This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal information and data provided by customers, prospects and other contact persons obtained during the application and use of our services (domain name registration and hosting packages) and when visiting our website. We also collect data when you subscribe to our newsletter, request information, ask a question, respond to our website or otherwise contact us.

Which (personal) data does Homburg Holland BV process? 
Homburg Holland BV collects contact details such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth, information regarding previous orders and use of our services. We also store contact history, for example when you ask our customer service a question. If you use our help desk, we have your contact details and we can save the content of the conversations in order to be of better service to you in the future and to improve our own information provision.

In addition to the personal data you provide to Homburg Holland BV, Homburg Holland BV may collect, record and process additional personal data about your use of our services and website (s). Depending on the services you purchase from us, Homburg Holland BV saves traffic and location data. This only concerns data relating to your communication, not the communication itself.

Why do we process (personal) data?
Homburg Holland BV processes personal data to provide its services. For example, we store data for creating an account, financial administration and of course the request for a domain name. Homburg Holland BV also needs data for answering questions, handling complaints and processing possible recoveries. After placing an order, a quote and invoice number will be linked to your account.

We also store your IP address for security reasons. This way it can be checked from which IP address is logged into the account or changes are made. Homburg Holland BV also stores other traffic and location data in order to make its services possible and / or to be able to settle them administratively and financially.

Third-party recipients
Homburg Holland BV uses systems or services from third-party suppliers, whereby it is possible that the supplier also has access to data from our customers. Some of our suppliers are based in the US. These parties are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield or there are contractual agreements on an appropriate level of security.

For an application, assignment and possible use of a domain name, Homburg Holland BV fulfills a role as an intermediary (registrar). Your application will be passed on to the relevant registration authorities, such as the Foundation for Internet Domain Registration in the Netherlands (SIDN). The authority decides on the allocation of your domain name. In order to make registration possible Homburg Holland BV will pass on your application details (contact details (name, e-mail address, telephone number and correspondence address) to these authorities.

Personal data is exchanged within the Homburg Holland BV group. If you are a customer of Homburg Holland BV, we also see you as a customer of the other companies that belong to the group of Homburg Holland BV. Homburg Holland BV does not sell personal data to third parties.

Your rights
